🪚 Crafts and workshops
This section presents the crafts that shaped everyday village life. You will find the tools of joiners, blacksmiths, wheelwrights and cobblers — and next to them the general-purpose tools people used to fix their own houses, because there was no one else to call.
Every piece carries traces of use: handles polished by decades of work, hand-forged parts, improvised repairs. These traces are the most valuable thing in the collection — they show how work was done without electricity, and which skills a village simply could not live without.
Among the exhibits is a framed apprenticeship certificate and a wall of dozens of keys and horseshoes — try to guess which gates and horses they once belonged to.
